Small Business Size Standard.

A size standard is the SBA-set threshold, in either annual revenue or employee count and keyed to a NAICS code, below which a firm qualifies as a small business for federal contracting.

§ 01 · Definition

What it means.

In practice, for a bidder.

Because the standard is tied to the solicitation’s NAICS code, the same firm can be small for one opportunity and large for another. Size determines eligibility for small-business set-asides.
